  • Plastic wallet size Photo Competency Card (will be mailed by OLGR NSW)
Provide Responsible Gambling Services (RCG) is a mandatory course that is designed to provide you with a responsible approach to gambling practices. It is a requirement of the Gaming Machines Act 2001 that all staff working in a licensed venue in NSW that has gaming facilities such as casinos, clubs and bars to have completed the NSW Responsible Conduct of Gambling course (RCG).
Anyone who has gaming machine related functions in their job in NSW, in either a voluntary or paid capacity, must have a Casino Liquor and Gaming Control Authority (CLGCA), RCG Photo Competency Card.

Who Needs to Complete RCG Training

RCG training applies to:
o Hoteliers
o Secretary managers
o Staff, including promotional staff, involved in gaming related functions
o Volunteers, including club directors, who have gaming service responsibilities
o Security officers
Pre Requisites:
There are no pre-requisite for this course
Course Content
This course has been designed to satisfy the requirements for responsible gambling services under NSW legislation and is endorsed by the NSW Office of Liquor Gaming & Racing (OLGR).
The course provides an awareness and understanding of:
  • The legislative framework for responsible gambling service procedures
  • Recognise erratic gambling patterns
  • Harm minimisation principles
  • House policies including environmental factors and record keeping
  • Impacts of gambling
  • Self-exclusion programs
  • Fact sheets, signage and related information
  • Support services 
Course Assessment

After completing the training participants are required to complete a written assessment. The assessment is conducted in English.
Key Skills Training provides access to learning support services and resources to assist participants to achieve the course learning outcomes. If you believe that you may have difficulty completing the assessment due to English being your second language, or you have literacy or numeracy issues, please contact us prior to undertaking the course so we can assist you with preparation.
Course Commencement

You must arrive 15 minutes before the scheduled start time for registration and ID checks.
The course closes for entry 10 minutes after the scheduled start time. If you are more than 10 minutes late you will not be admitted and a rescheduling fee of 50% of the full course fee applies to book another course date.

USI Requirement

From 1st January 2015 all Registered Training Organisations (RTO’s) throughout Australia are required to collect Unique Student Identifiers (USI) from persons enrolling in VET training. 

A student will require a USI prior to obtaining their Statement of Attainment from the training organisation where they are undertaking study.

You can create your USI at it only takes 5 minutes. Please bring your USI with you when you attend your training course.

You will need to bring
Some form of valid photo ID such as a Drivers Licence, Passport, Photo Card etc. USI number and a black pen.

Casual comfortable.

RCG training undertaken interstate is not recognised in NSW.
